Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily close the lengths of roads between the times stated in the schedule below.

This order is required in order to prevent obstruction during the Remembrance Day Parade and will be operative on Sunday 10th November 2024. All closure times are approximate. The closures are scheduled to be between the times of 09:00hrs to 11:30hrs. All roads will re-open as soon as practicable.

Schedule:

Closure 1 between 09:00hrs – 09:30hrs approx.

  • High Street from its junction with Station Road extending south to a point outside Poundland.
  • Charlton Road from the roundabout at Ashton Way/Tesco extending to its junction with High Street.

Closure 2 between 10:30hrs – 11:10hrs approx.

  • High Street from its junction with Station Road extending south to a point outside Poundland.
  • Charlton Road from the roundabout at Ashton Way/Tesco extending to its junction with High Street.
  • Bath Hill from its junction with Temple Street extending south east to its junction with Avon Mill Lane.
  • Temple Street from its junction with High Street/Bath Hill to its junction with Rock Road.
  • Once the procession has paraded along High Street to Bath Hill, the road will be re-opened from its junction with Station Road extending to its junction with Charlton Road – The one-way section of High Street will remain closed. Charlton Road will also be re-opened from the roundabout at Ashton Way/Tesco extending to its junction with High Street.

Closure 3 between 11:10hrs – 11:30hrs approx.

  • High Street from its junction with Station Road extending south to a point outside Poundland.
  • Charlton Road from the roundabout at Ashton Way/Tesco extending to its junction with High Street.
  • Bath Hill from its junction with Temple Street extending south east to its junction with Avon Mill Lane.
  • Temple Street from its junction with High Street/Bath Hill to its junction with Rock Road.
  • Once the procession has paraded onto High Street, Temple Street and Bath Hill will be re-opened.
  • Charlton Road and High Street will be re-opened once parade has dispersed.
