The WaterSpace Workboat is a volunteer taskforce run jointly by Bath & North East Somerset Council and the Canal & River Trust. The volunteers deliver a variety of tasks from one of their two boats, Sulis and Community Spirit. In 2022 they undertook over 3,600 hands-on volunteer hours including the removal of invasive species, clearing rubbish, creating habitats and restoring locks.

The Bristol Avon Rivers Trust is a community-led organisation which delivers education, land and river management advice, surveying and practical river restoration projects.

The Avon Invasive Species Forum are an independent group offer who are aiming to raise awareness of non-native invasive species in Avon, opportunities include conducting surveys, education, event organisation and publicity.

The Saltford Brass Mill Project carry out a variety of tasks within the building itself and research the history of the copper and brass industry.
