The Ward Councillor Empowerment Fund for local projects
Each Ward Councillor has an allocation of £3000 over a three-year period (£1,000 per year for the first three years of the administration), which can be put towards local projects that benefit their ward.
The fund supports projects that address the concerns or needs of a local area. To qualify, projects must meet at least one of the Council's corporate priorities such as addressing the climate emergency, delivering for local residents, focusing on prevention, and giving people a bigger say.

How to propose a project for funding
Contact your Ward Councillor to request a grant from the Empowerment Fund.
Organisations applying for project funding should demonstrate local community support. Explain how the project supports the council's priorities, which are addressing the climate emergency, delivering for local residents, focusing on prevention and giving people more say.
You can find and contact your Ward Councillor using the 'Find Councillor' tool.
