Join Julian Hight, Chair of the Wessex Ancient Tree Forum, for a talk that explores the story of Britain’s ancient forest told through its remaining ancient trees and surviving customs – living links to our rich history.
Julian will also speak about the Shoscombe Oak celebration planting that will be taking place in the Spring.
Julian regularly gives talks. He was a judge for Channel 4’s Tree of the Year, and is a verifier for the Woodland Trust Ancient Tree Inventory.
He launched the Reviving Selwood Forest project in Somerset and campaigns for ancient trees and woodland. Julian has travelled widely, camera in hand, to document and tell the stories of historic ancient trees.
