We want to improve the parking situation for local residents by creating seven new Residents’ Parking Zones (RPZs) in Bath - the outcome of several public consultations on how we can help communities to create healthier, safer streets (‘Liveable Neighbourhoods’, Autumn 2020/Winter 2021/22).
The Chelsea Road and Foxcombe Road area of Bath has limited on-street parking, which means residents often find themselves in competition with non-residents to find parking spaces near their home, and so we have developed a draft proposal for an RPZ which would include the residential properties in the Chelsea Road and Foxcombe Road area.
It’s important to note that an RPZ may not address the lack of parking where there are high levels of car ownership among households within the zone.
No decisions have been made, and we now invite comments on the draft plans which are outlined on these web pages.
