Active Travel Masterplan
A comprehensive plan that sets out the existing and future network of active travel infrastructure required to enable and provide for sustainable and healthy forms of transport around our area. The plan is for all types of active travel, whether it is for commuting, leisure, business or everyday journeys, such as travelling to a local shop, school or doctor’s surgery.
Details
By implementing infrastructure improvements and behaviour change campaigns, the measures in our Active Travel Masterplan will improve the safety, accessibility, and attractiveness of active travel options.
This in turn will contribute to a reduction in carbon emissions from vehicular transport, improvements to the health and wellbeing of residents, a fairer transport system and less congestion across Bath and North East Somerset.
