You can get involved in development in your area through the creation and adoption of a Neighbourhood Plan. Once adopted, the Plan becomes part of the decision-making process for planning applications.
Every Neighbourhood Plan has to be approved via a public referendum before it can be adopted. This stage is just a small part of the process required to create and adopt a Neighbourhood Plan. Learn more about the purpose and scope of these plans by visiting the Neighbourhood Planning section of our planning website.
