From 1st January 2021 the UK is no longer a member of the European Community and this may have a significant impact on the procurement of goods and services.
The UK government has published and consulted on a Green Paper which sets out proposed amendments to the Public Contract Regulations 2015. The new regulations will be implemented in early 2022.
As a result of any agreed amendments, we will amend our Contract Standing Orders, procurement documentation and retrain its staff to procure in line with the amended regulations. The Strategic Procurement Team will quickly become proficient in the new regulations and carry out training of our procuring officers.
