Use this page to find out where to seek advice as a commercial tenant renting a Bath and North East Somerset-owned property. This page aims to help you understand the contact you will have with our team.
Our promise and responsibilities
Bath and North East Somerset Council is a major landlord, and we are committed to achieving and and maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with our tenants.
This section highlights ours and the tenants responsibilities. We aim to provide a helpful service to all tenants and our team is available to discuss any matters relating to your tenancy. You can contact us to speak to the valuer for your property.
Professional Advice
A lease is a legally binding contract between the parties and sets out the basis of your occupation of a B&NES-owned property. We expect our tenants to comply with the legal obligations they have agreed to observe.
Contacting our team
Each property is allocated to a member of our Property Management team. This valuer is responsible for the management of the building and should always be your first point of contact for queries about your tenancy. If you do not know the name of the valuer assigned to manage the property, please contact our team.
We will try to ensure that your named valuer handles any rent review or lease renewal for your tenancy (sometimes this may not be possible).
If a commercial agent has to act on our behalf, we will ensure that they comply with this information.
