(THTTC3557 EDWARD STREET / PULTENEY MEWS, BATHWICK, BATH)

(TEMPORARILY INTRODUCE A ONE-WAY RESTRICTION)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure and a one-way restriction in that length of:

  • Edward Street, Bathwick, Bath will be closed to traffic traveling north west from its junction with Vane Street to its junction with Great Pulteney Street, a one-way restriction will be introduced to allow traffic to travel south west from its junction with Great Pulteney Street to Vane Street. USRN: 47900389.

 

  • Pulteney Mews, Bathwick, Bath will be closed from its junction with Edward Street extending south west to a point outside 6 Pulteney Mews. USRN: 47901175.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to carry out gas main upgrade works on the 5th August 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for TWENTY SIX DAYS.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

 

Edward Street - Vane Street – Darlington Street – Great Pulteney Street.

 

Pulteney Mews – William Street – Great Pulteney Street – Edward Street – Vane Street.
