Use this page to understand what we're consulting on, who we are consulting, how to have your say, and what happens next.
What we are consulting on
We are consulting on our proposal to vary the Bath Clean Air Zone (CAZ) Charging Order 2021 to include Class N3 Euro 6 diesel HGVs which enter the charging scheme area. This would incur a £50 charge.
This charge would be supported by time-limited exemptions for businesses and taking place in a designated exemption zone.
Who we are consulting
We are inviting local residents, businesses and HGV operators and organisations to share their views on the proposed charge and time-limited exemptions. However, anyone is welcome to respond to this consultation and share their views.
We will consider all feedback and welcome suggestions for alternatives.
How to respond to this consultation
If you have any specific queries about the proposals, or require the consultation material in another format, please email: Euro6HGVconsultation@bathnes.gov.uk
What happens next
We will use the feedback from this consultation to inform our final decision on whether to apply the charges by varying the Charging Order, and whether we need to improve aspects of the local time-limited exemptions if respondents have expressed any concerns.
View the project timeline for an overview of how we expect the scheme to progress.
