Project timeline

The timeline below shows the project stages we will follow if the locations proposed in this consultation get enough positive feedback. We will update this page when more details become available.

1. Public consultation

   Completed September 2022

   This consultation gave you an opportunity to have your say on the proposed locations for planting street trees. 

   We published a feedback report after this period of consultation.

2. Publish consultation report

   Completed January 2023

   We analysed your feedback and have published a consultation feedback report that shows the results of the consultation.

3. Finalise tree planting plans

   Completed January 2023

   We have finalised our tree planting plans following this consultation. Our final plans reflect the results of the consultation and underground utilities surveys at the sites.

   The plans have been approved by our Highways team, as the sites comply with road safety and pavement accessibility.

4. Phased tree planting delivery

   Active 2023

   The grant funding for this project has been agreed.

   We completed the tree planting at Southdown and on Fox Hill during the 2022/2023 planting season.

   We will deliver the outstanding planting this autumn. We will start the remaining planting in October 2023.

5. Ongoing tree maintenance

   On target Until April 2025

   We will maintain the planted trees in line with our long-term management policy.
