(THTTC2932 UPPER BOROUGH WALLS / NORTHGATE STREET, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2022

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

• Upper Borough Walls from its point outside property number 28, extending to its junction with Northgate Street. USRN: 47901403
• Northgate Street from its junction with Upper Borough Walls extending to its junction with New Bond Street. USRN: 47913562

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for works to high level faults by LTS Traffic Management Ltd on the 22^nd August 2022 for a maximum period of 5 days. These works will be carried out in 2 phases:

• Phase 1 - Upper Borough Walls between 10:00 -18:00hrs on the 22^nd August 2022
• Phase 2 - Northgate Street between 22:00 - 06:00hrs on the 23^rd and 24^th August 2022

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for 3 DAYS.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Broad Street – George Street – Gay Street – Queen Square – Chapel Row – Charles Street - Green Park Road – Corn Street – St James’s Parade – Dorchester Street – Manvers Street – Pierrepont Street – Orange Grove – High Street
