(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Westgate Street / Cheap Street / Parsonage Lane, City Centre, Bath for their entire length. USRN: 47901435 / 47900458 / 47913582.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wessex Water to install a new connection in the carriageway on the 22^nd January 2024 for a maximum period of 10 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS between 10:00 – 18:00hrs only.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Access will be maintained for disabled parking and deliveries/collections to the rear of the Post Office via Parsonage Lane via the use of road plates when required.
