(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Westmoreland Road, Bath from its junction with Cheltenham Street extending south to its junction with Westmoreland Station Road. USRN: 47913687.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Network Rail to install and dismantle scaffolding alongside a retaining wall on the 11^th September 2023 for a maximum period of 6 weeks.

The works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights in September from 22:00 to 06:00hrs and 1 night in October from 22:00 – 06:00hrs.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lower Oldfield Park - Brougham Hayes B3111 - Lower Bristol Road A36 or Pines Way - Westmoreland Road - Vice Versa.
