(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

• A367 Wells Road, Lyncombe which will be closed to traffic travelling towards Bath, from its junction with Wells Road Old Course, extending to its junction with Lower Bristol Road. USRN: 47900021.

• The A367 Wells Road, Lyncombe, will also be closed to traffic travelling westbound towards Lower Bristol Road, from its junction with Claverton Street extending to its junction with Lower Bristol Road. USRN: 47900008 / USRN: 47900021.

• Traffic will be able to travel southbound onto the A367 Wells Road coming from Churchill Bridge Roundabout.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for GTM to carry out a bridge inspection on behalf of Network Rail on the 16th February 2023 for a maximum period of 2 nights. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE NIGHT between 22:00 – 06:00hrs.

Traffic travelling westbound to Lower Bristol Road – North Parade Road – North Parade Bridge – North Parade – Pierrepont Street – Manvers Street – Dorchester Street – Broad Quay – Ambury – Green Park Road – Charles Street – Monmouth Place – Upper Bristol Road – Windsor Bridge Road - Lower Bristol Road

Traffic travelling northbound towards Bath – A367 Wells Road – Wellsway – A3062 Frome Road – Bradford Road – North Road – Ralph Allen Drive – Prior Park Road – St Matthews Place – Pulteney Road – North Parade Road – Pierrepont Street – Manvers Street - Dorchester Street - Broad Quay – Ambury – Green Park Road – Charles Street – Monmouth Place – Upper Bristol Road – Windsor Bridge Road - Lower Bristol Road
