(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE ONE-WAY RESTRICTION)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to:

  • Temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Queen Street, City Centre, Bath from its junction with Harrington Place extending south to its junction with Trim Street. USRN: 47901277.
  • Introduce a suspension of the one-way restriction on Barton Street, in order to allow two-way traffic between the junctions of Harrington Place and Trim Street.
  • Introduce a suspension of the one-way restriction on Trim Street, in order to allow two-way traffic between the junctions of Barton Street and Queen Street.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to lay a new gas service on the 26th February 2024 for a maximum period of 7 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Harrington Place (one-way) – Barton Street – Trim Street.
