(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Upper Stanton, Upper Stanton Drew from its junction with Stanton Wick Lane extending north east to its junction with Old Tarnwell. USRN: 47919625.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for stabilisation works to the bank on the northern side of Upper Stanton by Bath and North East Somerset Council from the 25th March 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works will be carried out in two phases. Phase one will be a closure for 1 week for investigations. Phase two will be a closure for the works to take place for up to 8 weeks.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Upper Stanton (remainder) – Bromley Road – B3130 – A37 – Church Street – Stanton Lane/Pensford Lane – Vice versa.
