(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF NO ENTRY RESTRICTION)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:

·   A road closure in that length of Queen Street, Bath from outside The Raven of Bath Public House extending to its junction with Quiet Street. USRN: 47901277

·   

Introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on Barton Street to allow traffic to move in both directions. USRN: 47900114

·   

Introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction on Wood Street/Northumberland Buildings to allow traffic to move in both directions. USRN: 47901456

·   To temporarily suspend the No Entry Order at the entrance to Wood Street to allow vehicles to enter said highway whilst this order is in operation.

·   Bollards to be removed at Beauford Square to allow vehicles to exit Barton Street onto Monmouth Street

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for installation of a new gas service by Wales & West Utilities on the 6th February 2023 for a maximum period of 6 days. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for FOUR DAYS.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Queen Street – Wood Street – Barton Street – Beauford Square – Princes Street – Monmouth Street.
