(THTTC3144 ENGLISHCOMBE LANE, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Englishcombe Lane, Bath from:

• its junction with Sladebrook Avenue extending to its junction with Oak Avenue/Stirtingale Road
• its junction with Oak Avenue/Stirtingale Road extending to outside property number 77
• its point outside property number 77 extending to its junction with Westfield Close
• its junction with Westfield Close extending to its junction with Bloomfield Road

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to undertake gas main upgrade works on the 5^th June 2023 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for 6 months and the works will be carried out in four phases as detailed above.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Englishcombe Lane (remainder) – Rush Hill – Frome Road – Bloomfield Road – Englishcombe Lane – Vice versa
