BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

 

(THTTC3209 CUMBERLAND ROW, KINGSMEAD, BATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2023

 

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of:

·  Cumberland Row, Kingsmead, Bath from its junction with New King Street, extending north for approximately 15 metres. USRN: 47900430.

·  Cumberland Row will remain open from its junction with Monmouth Place, to allow motorists to access the Community Centre Car Park only.

 

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for new development works on the corner of New King Street / Cumberland Row on the 16th August 2023 for a maximum period of 12 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for TWELVE MONTHS.

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Travelling From New King Street – Great Stanhope Street – Nile Street – A4 Upper Bristol Road - Charlotte Street – Queen Square Place – Queen Square – Chapel Row – Monmouth Place – Cumberland Row.

 

Travelling to New King Street from A367 – Monmouth Place – Little Stanhope Street – New King Street
